3. Foundation of the National Student Nurses’ Association Career Mobility Scholarship

Students currently enrolled in a state-approved nursing program leading to an associate, bachelor, diploma, generic pre-licensure doctorate, or generic pre-licensure master’s degree; or enrolled in an RN to BSN, RN to MSN, or LPN/LVN to RN program.

Since 1969, the FNSNA has worked to advance the nursing profession through scholarship, leadership, and development.

Individuals and organizations with an interest in nursing education have created scholarships through the FNSNA.

4. Bridge Your Career: The RN to BSN Scholarship

18 years or older and actively enrolled in an RN-BSN program with a GPA of at least 3.5.

This nursing scholarship is reserved particularly for registered nurses participating in an RN-to-BSN program.

It is awarded to a nurse who has shown commitment to the Institute of Medicine’s demand for BSN education nurses and recognizes the need of higher education in improving patient outcomes.

5. A Place For Mom Senior Wisdom Scholarship.

Must be a permanent resident of the United States or Canada who is currently enrolled in a recognized college or university.

A Place for Mom Senior Care Scholarship is open to students pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate-level nursing program at an authorized four-year university.

A $1,000 scholarship will be offered to each student based on their letter of introduction and a 400- to 700-word essay on life lessons acquired from a senior.

5. The Mildred Nutting Scholarship

Nursing students in financial need can present a transcript or acceptance letter.

A one-time $2,000 grant is available to two students in financial need who have been admitted to or are currently enrolled in an accredited nursing school.

A letter of acceptance into a nursing program or a transcript indicating that the candidate is enrolled in a nursing program must be sent with the application. Candidates living in the Lowell, MA, area will be given preference.

7. Caroline E. Holt Nursing Scholarship 

Nursing students in financial need can present a transcript or acceptance letter.

A one-time $2,500 prize is provided to three students in financial need who have been admitted to or are currently enrolled in an accredited nursing school.

The application must include a letter of acceptance into a nursing program or a transcript indicating that the applicant is currently enrolled in a nursing program.

8. Senior Caregiver Scholarship.

Students attending a four-year college or university in the spring of 2021 who have had a part in caring for a friend or relative.

SeniorAdvice.com is providing a $2,000 award to an eligible student who has cared for a senior friend or relative.

9. DiversityNursing.com $5,000 Education Award

Full-time or part-time student in an accredited nursing program or work as a nursing professional in the United States.

DiversityNursing.com was formed in 2007 as a career job board, community, and information resource for nurses of all ages, races, genders, religions, education levels, nationalities, sexual orientations, disabilities, and physical traits. The winner’s name is picked in May, during Nurses Week.

10. Indian Health Service Scholarship Program.

American Indian or Alaska Native students enrolling in an undergraduate or graduate program.
